Beautiful Skin

Beautiful Skin

Many times I have people ask me how my skin stays so smooth and youthful. Really to be honest I thought it was a combination of genes, exercise, and beauty products. However, lately I have found that my smooth skin doesn't come from just genes and beauty products; my best beauty product cost practically nothing. I've been fortunate enough to have a sauna built in my home and I will tell you it is the most rewarding and most used room in my home; outside of my bedroom.

Ladies we know we will pretty much try anything to keep ourselves youthful and vibrant, not only for ourselves but also for our mates. Although I am several years younger than my husband I still make a point to stay attractive, and there is nothing more attractive than a woman with great skin. Encourage yourself to try a little heat, either through steam or dry heat before purchasing expensive cosmetics or having a cosmetic procedure. If going to a sauna or steam room becomes too much of an inconvenience you can purchase a face steamer from your local retail stores such as Target, Walmart, and Sally's Beauty Supply.

When I was younger I used to watch my mother steam her face; in which I took this same beauty benefit and incorporated it in my own life. I use to use plenty beauty products and spend a fortune on them; however, I realized most of the benefits I see today have come from steam or dry heat. If you take the time to read about steam rooms and saunas you will find, they're both absolutely amazing when it comes to taking care of your skin. I'm 42 years old and a young man asked me for my I.D. when I ordered a drink at a bar. Of course I didn't have on any make-up at the time but as a 42 year old woman being carded, well, let's just say if I wasn't married I would have hugged the guy perhaps even given him a kiss. There is nothing more flattering or complimentary than someone asking a 40 something year old woman for her ID just to be sure she is of age. At first I thought he was trying to be nice, but even after I expressed my husband had been setting right across from me, his reply wasn't much different. Of course I was very pleased and I was pretty convinced it was because I took time out to rejuvenate my skin in the sauna.

Last little bit of advice - listen to the warning signs of the sun. It may have you bronzed and looking like a goddess; however, by the time you're my age you will look twice your age. It's really important to understand the damage that sun has on the skin. As women no matter what age we are we still want to feel and be beautiful. But trust me, you will not feel or look beautiful if you continue to let the sun bake one of your biggest assets. Just because there are multiple layers of skin doesn't mean you can burn up the first layer. I say this because I've watched plenty friends tan their entire life and now that we're in our 40's; they began aging prematurely and now they regret not paying attention to the warning signs. The great thing about it all is none of them have developed any form of skin cancer (another topic). Imagine, the aging process as it relates to the sun and our natural aging process, what do you think your skin will look like after 20 years- better yet imagine how old you will look? Think about it and begin giving your skin the care it truly needs.

Three Bollywood Movies The Review

Three Bollywood Movies

Remakes are the order of the day, and with the amount of money riding on these movies, it would only make sense for the audience to want some of the most memorable movies made into a new one by any of the grittier and more intense directors around today. We look at the three movies that would make
for interesting Bollywood remakes today

Appu Raja
Appu Raja is not strictly a Bollywood movie, because it is a South side movie made by the Maestro Kamal Haasan, but it is definitely one that can be remade within a blink. Appu Raja tells the story of
twins, whose father is killed by evil goons, and mother is

 Khuda Gawah
The epic Bollywood movie to end all epics, Khuda Gawah was a movie ahead of its time, and unfortunately the audience couldn't appreciate the movie. Starring Amitabh Bachchan as a passionate and straight forward Pathan who achieves his love, and then gives it up for a promise to a police man, the movie has Nagarjuna, Shilpa Shirodkar, Kiran Kumar, Danny Dengzonpa and Vikram Gokhale playing some of the most stellar characters of modern times. This was one of the first and only movies to be shot in Afghanistan, and did complete justice to the beauty that the place has to offer.

Khuda Gawah is famous not just for the direction, but also the art direction and action sequences. The high octane climax is something that was rarely seen in Bollywood movies. In fact, the entire movie is peppered with what can be considered to be epic sequences. Danny Dengzonpa also played a career
best role as the trusty Pathan's aide.

Gambler
If you thought that a flawed protagonist was something that has come recently to Bollywood, think again. Gambler stars Govinda as a police officer who finds out that he suffering from a deathly disease, and has a few days to live. The police officer is now troubled about how his family will make their ends meet after he dies, but finds out one day that if he dies on duty, his family will make more money. He now has a deathwish, to die on duty, and because of this, the corrupt and cowardly cop pits himself against some of the biggest goons in the city.

Of course, because it was a nineties movie, it is found out that there was an error in the medical tests, and therefore he is hale and hearty, but that can definitely be twisted a bit to add to the dark and ironic movies that are making their presence felt in Bollywood today.

What Are the Top 10 Movies

What Are the Top 10 Movies

Top 10 Movies - the break down
This topic is always debatable and critics around the world have been debating this list since movies were first made. Questions have been asked and technology advances have made older films look outdated and irrelevant, however, this list will judge films solely by there presence at the time of release.
So what makes a top movie?
There is a list of questions that have to be asked when reviewing a film:
Was the lead actor/actress good?
Was the supporting actor/actress good?
Was the film revolutionary?
How good was the script?
Was the cinematography good?
Was the directing good?
These basic questions help breakdown a massive list of hundreds and thousands of movies.

So here is the list starting from 10 downwards:

1. Forest Gump 1994
You just knew Tom Hanks had to be in the top 10 somewhere and where better than number 1. Your normal American guy tells a story from a park bench of a life that is so interesting it makes you wonder what your
doing with your own life. From action to romance this film has it all.

2. Shawshank Redemption 1994
Pure class in ever sense of the word. From acting to the set this film has everything. The story behind the film and it's clever take of prison life gives this film it's rightful place as number 2

3. Star Wars: Empires Strikes Back 1980
The second film that was released in the Star Wars set and this didn't disappoint at all following the massive success of the first film. With all the characters now strongly set, this really sets the tempo for the rest of Star Wars releases.

4. Gladiator 2000
The story behind this film and the classic speech encompasses this film and takes this to another level. Russell Crowe really puts in a performance in this film and he sets Gladiator on a path to glory. This film will have you instantly hooked

5. The Godfather 1972
Classic. Not much more to say that this is a must watch film in anyone's books. If you are a fan of Gangster films and you haven't watched this yet... Get in your car and go to the store and buy yourself a copy of this film DVD or Blu-Ray!

6. Lord of the Rings: Two Towers 2002
Which Lord of the Rings to put into the top 10? Difficult one to chose, however the epic battle of the two towers and the story line behind the film really sets this film apart and makes fans want to watch the return of the king even more.

7. The Dark Knight 2008
A DC adaption of the popular hit series of films Batman. This takes the stereotypical spoofy Batman films and twists this into the dark city that Gothem encompasses. Heath Ledger really sets the bar with his take on
the Joker and just for Heath's acting master class alone, this is good enough to get on any top 10 list.

8. Schindler's List 1993
One for the quiz bank: the highest grossing black and white film ever made. There is a reason behind this value and this film truly represents quality in its unique risk and reward by reintroducing a black and white film into the movie industry years after the introduction of colour. As a classic war film, Schindler's List is sure to please.

9. Titanic 1997
Another ground breaking film for theatrical advancement of epic scales. This romantic love story and quality CGI really pushes the boundaries for 1997.

10. The Silence of the Lambs 1991
Thriller in every sense of the word. Anthony Hopkins plays Hannibal Lecture sublimely in this world class production. This film keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way through, from the creepy music, to the intense investigation going on behind the scenes of Hannibal's prison cell
