15 Hollywood Films That Would

Most movie-franchises are big money-churners at the box-office. However, barring a couple of exceptions, most sequels lack the charm of the original film. 'The Matrix', which was followed by the ho-hum 'The Matrix Reloaded' and the downright bad 'The Matrix Revolutions' would be a classic case in point. 'Speed' and 'Speed 2:Cruise Control' highlights the qualitative difference even more clearly. Even popular movie franchises like 'Paranormal Activity' and 'Mission Impossible' have not been uniformly good in terms of the entries in them. Here are some lovely Holly flicks which definitely do not warrant sequels:

1. The Sixth Sense (1999) - Going by his latest works, M. Night Shyamalan is no longer the director that he once was. Telling him to helm a sequel of this beautifully crafted eerie film would be disastrous - while going for another filmmaker would rob the first film of its underlying feel. Also, given the delicious final twist in 'The Sixth Sense', there is hardly any room for a sensible sequel being spawned.

2. The Notebook (2004) - The good thing is, both 'Allie' and 'Noah' die at the end of this endearingly tragic film. However, imaginative as the Hollywood filmmakers are - they might think up a sequel to the film, with the leading duo spreading the magic of their literally 'undying' romance in heaven now. Let alone being worth a watch, even the idea seems an insult to the brilliantly-made Nick Cassavetes flick.

3. Avatar (2009) - The antics of the creatures on Pandora wowed viewers - but that does not mean a repeat dose would be equally enjoyable. Sadly, director James Cameron has already agreed upon making as many as three sequels. With all due respect to Cameron's directorial expertise, it can be safely stated that none of them would have the feel of uniqueness which contributed so much to the first film's success. Another sci-fi alien film can always be made - why dilute the magic of 'Avatar' for it?

4 Inception (2010) - Make no mistake - 'Inception' is a brilliant film, one of the very best of Christopher Nolan's works. Many viewers had problems in keeping up with the 'dreams-within-dreams-within-dreams' scenarios though, and a sequel would only complicate matters further. What's more - even if Leonardo diCaprio reprises his role, he is not likely to bag an Oscar (considering the actor's ill-fate at the awards). Let us catch television reruns of 'Inception' or watch it on DVD - we don't want an unnecessary sequel thrust on us!

5.Clueless (1995) - There have been television shows inspired from 'Clueless' - one of those romantic comedies that have an oven-fresh feel about them. A sequel, if ever it was made, would probably feature a middle-aged 'Cher Horowitz', waddling her way through a forcefully put-together script. Things ended absolutely smoothly in the movie, and we certainly do not want another 'Mean Girls 2'-like experience!

6. Stand By Me (1986) - Probably the most perfect adaptation of a Stephen King novel, this film offers absolutely no scope for a sequel. The mesmerizingly haunting theme music (by Ben King) should be enough reason on its own why no one else should try to tamper with this film. A remake, perhaps, might be worth a watch - but a sequel would be pointless

7.Shaun Of The Dead (2004) - Horror movie sequels generally don't go well, with 'The Grudge' franchise becoming steadily worse, and 'The Ring 2' not being a patch on 'The Ring'. Making a sequel to a zombie-comedy would be an even tougher ask. If indeed a follow-up to 'Shaun Of The Dead' surfaced some day, we would probably have to see 'Liz' and 'Shaun' (probably a lot older) trying to take on a fresh set of undeads. The same gigs and punchlines? Not a chance!

8.The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005) - What would they even name the sequel - 'The 40-Year-Old-Virgin 2' which makes no sense!), or 'The 41-Year-Old-Virgin'? Let's just hope that no director takes it to his head to make a follow-up to this funny, entertaining rom-com. Steve Carell was no longer celibate by the end of the 2005-flick, what more can he want?

9.E.T. (1982) - With this film, Steven Spielberg laid down a benchmark in the domain of alien-themed movies in Hollywood - and no one should even dare to try making a sequel. It's okay for Rakesh Roshan to take inspiration from 'E.T.' for his blockbuster 'Koi Mil Gaya', but there won't be any chance of a sequel being able to recreate the magic of this landmark movie. Spielberg knew what he was doing, when he turned down sequel offers!

10.Reservoir Dogs (1992) - Even today, Holly fans absolutely love to see a well-made, violent, gory flick. The recent success of 'Django Unchained' pretty much proves that. However, how can anyone make a sequel to this masterpiece from Tarantino? Almost all the principal characters are bumped off in the movie - ruling out the chances of a regular sequel. A prequel can be made at best, but it won't probably interest too many people.

11.Independence Day (1999) - Now, the idea of a sequel to this 1999 sleeper hit won't be a terribly bad one. The problem is, Will Smith has already done more than his fair share of 'saving the world from doomsday' routine - and he is nowhere near his prime form at present (if you have seen 'After Earth', you would surely agree!). Someone else can, of course, step in - but then it would be a better idea to make an altogether separate film.

12.Up (2009) - Pixar Animation Studios made three 'Toy Story' movies - each of them equally (if not more) enjoyable than its predecessor. The same strategy won't work for 'Up' though. Neither children nor adults would be interested in seeing an even older 'Carl Fredricksen', desperately trying to be even more grumpy than in the first film. It might even occur to some filmmaker to kill off Carl's character and make a sob-story called 'Up 2'! Let's just hope things do not come to such a pass.

13.Children Of Men (1992) - Yet another sci-fi flick that lives on in the minds of movie buffs on account of its novel premise and captivating performances. With Clive Owen's 'Theo' and Julianne Moore's 'Julian' having no chance to feature in a sequel (for dead people do not come back!), carrying on with this dystopian tale would be unnecessary and in all probability, an irritating fare. 'Children Of Men' was a delight to critics and general cinegoers - its magic should not be slurred by a sequel that bombs!

14. Love Actually (2003) - Even in the present age of computers and mobile apps, few people pass up on the chance of watching 'Love Actually' on the TV, for the umpteenth time. Since the movie was about the interlinked stories of a fairly large set of characters, making a direct sequel is, thankfully, out of the question. What the makers can do is make an unrelated, run-of-the-mill rom-com with an ensemble cast, and try to cash in on the popularity of 'Love Actually'. Won't be a good idea at all.

15. Scarface (1983) - One of Al Pacino's finest works definitely does not deserve to be followed up by a lousy sequel. Given that the central character ('Tony Montana') finally dies in the film, it would be next to impossible to bring back the aging Pacino in the sequel. All that might happen is Nicolas Cage (who signs way too many films for his own good) bumbling through the role of an underworld don. Spare us the horror, please

Love Is the You That You Have Given Me

You need company to embark on it.
It is a thought not centered on self,
A light shining at both ends,
Fondness is success shared with you.

The thrills and joys that you can't enjoy alone,
The tenderness in the smile you give,
The friendship that comes with the touch of your hands.
Love is that look in your eyes,

It is that passion in the dream you share,
It is an irresistible force with fondness that causes;
Tears to roll when you are alone.
Love is the strength to carry on even when it seems impossible...

Love is the wisdom I exhibit when am with you,
It is the gift of trust you give without reservation,
Devotion and patience you exhibit, the self-control you have, the peace we share

Friendliness, calmness and quietness that speaks volumes
Fervor in these looks of yours.
I hear it in your songs, feel it in your embrace,

I taste love in your kiss, smell it in your cologne,
See it in that glow in your eyes.
I read it in your lyrics; understand it in your gestures.

Love is articulated in your moves...
Affectionate is the time spent with you.
It is the burden shared with you...

As well as desire to be held by you, touched by you and smiled at by you.
Love is you in my dreams; it is your imagination in my thoughts,
Your very presence in my world.

Your devotion has this way of getting my hopes up in the sky;
It raises my expectation and causes me to expect the unexpected.

Ardor... the expression on your face when I make a mistake.
Amity is that delightful and pleasant memories I have of you.

That expression that says I love you more than the mistakes.
Love is your pleasant and charming face smiling down at me when I look up to you;

Sweet balm that soothes my worries.
Love is the greatest gift ever given,
.
It is the respect and high esteem you have for me,
Love is in sharing my dreams with you.
It is in you running alongside me in the pursuit of my dream.

Enthusiastic fulfillment I get knowing you are always there for me!
Love is the best of all the gifts you have ever given me.
For one can give without affection but cannot love without giving,

Poem On Love

Poem Analysis And Introduction
This poem speaks of a love relationship in the state of doubt. It is a state that happens when one of the partners is not sure of his or her feelings, while the other partner has successfully manifested strong feelings of love. When one partner is pushing the other to feel the same way or to reach their level of emotional expression, this will then become problematic. Too much expression of love from one side will make the other person feel suffocated, trapped or even guilty for not being able to live up to his or her partner's expectations.

Sometimes, a short time apart gives them a chance to miss each other. During this time, they might come to realize the depth of their feelings for one another. They might then get back together and better appreciate what they have. It's best to give love another shot, and to always have clear communications and help your partner understand what you are feeling. Communication is truly the key to solving all your relationship problems

The truth is, the more we push someone to love us, the less likely is that person going to actually have feelings for us. The more we force emotions out of someone, the less likely is that someone going to feel for us. Love flows on its own, and emotions are created through the romantic interaction between two people, even if that interaction is merely being rehearsed mentally. Our mental images are strong enough on their own to create the romantic emotions that we visualize in our minds.
Poem on Love - Reunite

I know that it has been a while

But I deserve a fair trial

Judge me not by what you see

Before you know what's inside of me

I've been down on my knees

You keep on trying to get me to Love you

But the more you try, the more we grew

We grew apart, like water and oil

Then up again on both my Feet

The ground keeps shaking, underneath

And I barely have the strength to breath

Almost touching, but we're not mixing soil

Just give me a chance to miss your heart

Maybe it helps if we shortly part

But the truth I felt in all my being

I can't deny, all this Love you're giving

I can no longer hide what my Soul is saying

You may not understand why I feel this way

Or why myself, I will never betray

Till we reunite, in peace and forgiving

Three Women

have always held women to be one of God's most charming creatures, and I do not speak from any narrow
mindedness; I've been examining this for a long time. It may sound a little like a cheap throw at women in general, but in spite of anything I can do, they have my side, and they have many sides, how many, only God knows.

How many times I have escaped and obliterated my tracks, and wanted to call this creature an 'it' and not a she, but in fear of God, I left it alone. But this brings to mind the three women I've never talked about, or wrote about in any of my writings, thus, this is their debut. I don't know why I haven't, perhaps on my way someplace east or west, north or south, I've missed them, a kind of blind spot you might say. And I mean no harm in this small brief.

Sharon, 1980 to 1986; Jean, 1986 to 1992; and Kikue, 1996 to 1999.
With all three I wore the fig-leaf suite. Somehow I was obliged to go with them for extended periods of time (combined, 19-years, take or give one or two). Had I allowed it to extend beyond those time periods I just mentioned, it would have introduced what? Death! Which is a pity, on some accounts.

On another note, before I get into the three women, it was my good fortune to find Rosa, in 1999, my present wife. This of course is the happiest period come-women period that is, of course, when I consider the others, admirable as they are or were, and I accept responsibility, some of the responsibility, for making them otherwise at times, and for demolishing the relationships, but frankly, I never derived much pleasure from them mentally, and so I cite them only to prove, there were other women; I was involved with some fairly important relationships. I will try to be as honest and bold as I can, that is for a novelist, saying something and that is saying much.

With all three I liked the plunge, and coolness of their beseeching ways. Sometimes I think God made women only for scenery, like hippos and whale watching. When I broke up with them, I really had no justification, but I chanced the danger of not breaking up. If not more than that, I have not missed anything, yet Sharon was the good part of Adam's rib. Jean, she nearly strangled me with her obsessiveness. And Kikue, at the last moment, was most uncomfortable. It was as if she had taken a viper pill, and here I was seven-thousand miles away in Tokyo, Japan.

Sharon was fire, fine and noble, educated; she couldn't save the sick buzzard, but she tried. And Jean, was often, too often the despondent lioness; I was advised by Denny one day, a friend, when in need, said, "All I've ever seen you two do is fight, and I've known you for two years." In essence, he was telling me, I was too close to the forest to see

You Are My Real Friend

If you are my real friend
Do not misguide me.
If I do any misdeed
Do not encourage, rather chide me.

If you are my best friend
Do not have ill wills in your heart.
Give me support whenever I need
Never leave me in the dark.

If you are my close friend
Do not feel jealous of my success.
To see such behavior
My heart gets upset.

If you are my good friend
Remain sincere and loyal.
Stand by me through thick and thin
And never turn disloyal.

If you are close to my heart
Never leave my hand.
With the passage of time
Our friendship would expand

If you are my sweet friend
Love me from the bottom of your heart.
Do not be narrow minded
Keep your vision vast.

If you are my best friend
Never have selfishness and greed.
Be pious and have heart of gold
As a friend in need is a friend in deed.

If you are my best friend
Forbid me to walk on the path of vice.
Help me to remove my shortcomings
So that I may become good and nice

If you are my real friend
I can open my heart to you.
You will not make fun of my feelings
I should hope so too.

if you are my real friend
Help me to be a good human being.
I may be helpful to all the needy
And wipe the tears of those who are crying.

If you are my best friend
Say each and everything to my face.
Never do back biting
As it spoils friendship's base.

If you are my best friend
Never tell our feelings to other persons.
Others can give us nothing
Except to play with our emotions.

If you are my real friend
Do not keep me under any illusion.
Tell me everything in a clear way
My faith should not face any erosion.

If you are my real friend
Do not consider yourself superior.
Friendship is based on the law of equality
Where no one is inferior.

If you are my best friend
Never betray my trust.
An act of betrayal can spoil the relations
And the hearts are deeply hurt.

If you are my best friend
Do not give me wrong suggestions.
Never come to help me in odd situations
If you have any bad intentions.

If you are my real friend
Let our friendship be a boon.
It should not fade in any phase
But shine forever like a moon.

If you are my real friend
Never leave me alone.
I will not forget you

Poems of Life and Love

Life is one of perceptions,
Like pretending to be real when fake,
Better to be beyond deceptions,
And make reality your stake.

It's not God who condemns,
Though He does chastise,
Our consciences convict us,
When we open our ears and eyes.
The glory of the gospel,
Is what it inspires,
When we respond to God,
Our hearts He fires.
Hearts lit and aflame for The Lord: an undeniable movement of repentance, as we turn back to God for the glory of His name. Being convicted can seem such a threat, but it always leads to life!

A health concern
Is horrible to learn
In all kinds of different ways.
All we can do
Is manage our bodies true
Praying for peace all our days.
When we pray our circumstances don't change, but our view of them does. Health concerns can bury us in anxiety, which leads to fatiguing depression. But when we pray, seeking peace, God gives us a new porthole through which to look.

Something as a parent I always love doing:
Watching and enjoying my kids' learning,
That's always been my hope for them,
That they never lack their life yearning.
Our passions sustain us. Just so much desire in me for my children to find and do work they love doing.

Enjoying the simpler things,
Like music, movement, and the Messiah,
There, there is life in what God brings,
As hearts are lit and passions are afire.
Opening up to the possibilities for life and joy, beyond many varietals of spiritual oppression, is simply surrendering to the vast world of creation available to the open eye of the heart.

Too much of our lives we spend
Wanting to be someone else
When all God asks us is to
Be content to know our self.

As two become one,
Their love is found unique,
What they will become,
Is truly something complete.
Think of love as an unrefined perfection; what God can do for two imperfect people as they agree to submit to one another for the marriage's sake. Love is willing sacrifice. Love is God's answer: one human being to another.

If I'm concerned for you,
Because God's given me
Reason to be,
Let me care for you,
Provided I protect your dignity

Love Poems Elements to Include in Love Poem

In A Promise and Clothes of Time: I still miss the bone
s of your hands, those lips that rocked my ribs, those gaze that skinned the metamorphosis of my flesh. These are lines from my work. This is one example of a contemporary love poem.

Love poems usually convey emotions and subjectivity. Some are sung and go under the classification of the Lyric. According to Paul Landis and Entwistle (The Study of Poetry, 1929 Tomas Nelson and Sons), lyric poems can be a poetic cry from the heart. They express a single emotion, could be short, musical metrically or verbally, or both.

Master poets in lyric and love are Shakespeare, Milton, Neruda, Lorca, Auden, Pushkin, Rilke, Plath, Maya Angelou, Dylan, Frost, Hass, Yeats, Eliot, Donne and more.
From Wikipedia could be found more courtly poems about knights and nobility.

Hence, its wistful and haunting loveliness eludes all tests!
Professor Albert Casuga said "Those who can write love poems could be better poets."
Online, check Rumi, Poem Hunter, and Poems About for examples.

Love poems must let the mind see the lines in action. Moments of absence and separation, invitations, activities, conversations on life, ardent reflections, or triumphs or loss of a lover are expressed vividly in words with characters in peaks of emotion or drama.

In my poems, I could hardly imagine how I did it. In first drafts, they were written spontaneously, as if I did not want to stop. Revisions could be made after the draft, though most of the time I submitted them sooner without revisions. They are still open to re-working.

Check "Memphis Ferry." This is a sample of John Foster "On Translating Hieroglyphic Love Songs." I got this sample because of my fondness of water phenomenon. The Memphis Ferry happens in twilight, in a mystical communion with the triad of gods who watch over. One character is Hathor, the Egyptian goddess of love. She functions in the Lyric as the Greek Aphrodite.

Lines say"...blossoms newborn in the blue lotus. Twilight is heavy with gods
Finally, the inspiration (muse) in a love poem is tremendous. Perhaps, it is by the gods or deep from the heart that no logic or intellect can ever elucidate.

Love Loves to Love

What do you find in your self?
Love is
Not in body, neither in facial expression
Not in touch, neither in feelings
It finds itself
In its inner-self

There are many empty spaces to be filled.
There are many lives to be heard.
There are many stories to be discussed.
Since an individual is deeply rooted in his own problems
Finds no time
To share, other' love, and to show his kindness

Love remains and will remain forever
No matter what, no matter where
No matter who, no matter whatsoever
The meaning is sacred that nothing else is needed.
Continue your adventure on it because there is no other path to follow but to love. There is no other passion except the passion to feel its presence.

As summer is approaching and leaves are fostering,
Life will ease out with less pain
And solve the crisis with more gain
But, life goes on
Not without it

There are many poets
Romantic and there will be many
Before or after
These people are destined to prose their story
On, about; "for and without"
love

I am not marketing love since it is never meant to be marketed.
I am not preaching love since it is above all preachers.
I am not writing anything about it because it cannot be written fully.
Any words written on love is not, "the end" since the love is always, "the beginning".

There were four words used in Joyce Ulysses when he said,
"Love loves to..."
It can be used in many parts of the speeches.

Religious scriptures constantly remind you

To love thy neighbour'
To bless all those peacemakers"
"To find joy in whatever you do, wherever you do it and whatever you do"

Love starts with life and ends with life.
There is only one life and in that one life, it has to be understood.
From others, from your action, deeds, prayers

I think I am boring you by writing nothing but love and I know that too much exaggeration on love is not all that is required.

What is required is your loving heart.
What is required is your peace of mind and body.
What is required is your heart filled with compassion and selfless respect.
What are required are your inner instincts to love fellow human soul, body and mind.
What is required is not any speech that dives deep into oceans of love for mere seconds but bright blue open sky that shines and brings energy in your soul, every moment of your life.
What is required is your ultimate loving heart.
Thus, love loves to...

Why Women Love Swarovski Jewelry and How to Care

When it comes to jewelry, you will be hard pressed to find any women who doesn't own a collection or two. Among the popular collections women indulge in these days include Swarovski jewelry and if you had the opportunity to own exquisitely-crafted jewelry like these, wouldn't you jump at the chance.

It is because of this particular quality that Swarovski crystals are used on everything by designers of every kind, from haute couture to jewelry to even candle holders. Despite the fact that they can be quite a challenge to maintain and handle, it is still the crystal of choice for most people. These days, however, it is making its presence felt more in the realm of jewelries and accessories and is one of the fashion trends that don't fade away no matter what the season.

It is quite understandable why women all over the world don't pass up the opportunity to buy Swarovski jewelry because for one, it rivals the diamond as far as shine and sparkle are concerned. They contain 32% lead which qualifies them as fully leaded and are expertly cut crystals painted with a special metallic coating that allows more light refraction, which is mainly the reason behind their famous sparkling quality.

It is perhaps good to note that Swarovski crystals are not your usual crystals. They are actually man-made gems created and manufactured in Austria in the 1800s, by a man named Daniel Swarovski who had discovered a way to make high-quality, lead glass crystals by using a special machine that allowed him to produce quality cuts. In 1895, he founded the Swarovski Company and initially made only home décor pieces until in 1957, Christian Dior helped him produce the now-famous Aurora Borealis color which became an instant hit in the fashion world

In 1977, Swarovski came to the US and presented his first ever jewelry collection featuring the exquisite crystals and from then on, the fashion world was never the same again. The jewelry collection since then has evolved to include other fashion accessory staples like handbags, belts and watches for both men and women. It has also recently ventured into sculptural pieces that include the golden dragon Jinlong, made from about 63,000 pieces of hand-laid crystals in 21 shades of gold, the elephant Matang that is made from smoky quartz, topaz and black diamond colored crystals and the horse Amurath that is made from metallic blue crystals. The set was completed with the creation of the falcon Alsaqr Almalaki, which is considered officially sold out to date.

If you are one of the many fortunate owners of Swarovski jewelry, chances are you are trying your absolute best to maintain its quality and beauty but not many Swarovski jewelry owners know that taking care of their crystals and jewelry only requires very basic solutions to keep their sparkle and shine: baby wipes, rubbing alcohol and mild dish soap
